Enhancing Quality Assurance in Higher Education
(E-QUALITY)
Transforming Compliance into Quality Culture for Tomorrow's Education

Our Purpose
E-QUALITY aims to collect all the quality methods and techniques that are used in partner Universities to ensure the quality of teaching and learning. The main objective is to integrate the evaluation process into a broader process of quality management and development by introducing transparent rules and procedures to discourage mere compliance with evaluation criteria and indicators but rather encourage adherence to the spirit of quality that forms the foundation of quality assurance.
A project management and risk plan will be developed, also a dissemination and impact assessment plan. The progress and efficacy of the project will be monitored and assessed by a quality assurance strategy and proficiency of the disseminating activities will be explored through an exploitation plan. During the project there will be developed: the Quality Assurance Management System in Higher Education, the E-QUALITY Platform, and the Training Course and MOOC for QA Managers and Administrators.
The results to be produced for the purposes of the E-QUALITY project are the Quality Assurance Management System in Higher Education, the E-QUALITY Platform, and the Training Course and MOOC for QA Managers and Administrators. All the produced materials will serve as tools for the promotion of the establishment of a common framework for quality assurance standards in higher education institutions and will improve existing capacities while introducing new models of monitoring quality.
Objectives
Enhancing a culture of quality in higher education through inclusive communication, transparent processes, and stakeholder involvement.
- Foster internal communication among QA managers and staff.
- Integrate the evaluation process into a broader framework of quality management and development. This is crucial to avoid reducing evaluations to mere bureaucratic procedures focused on compiling reports and statistics.
- Introduce transparent rules and procedures that are discussed, clearly documented, and communicated to the institutional community.
- Design evaluation tools and methodologies to discourage mere compliance with evaluation criteria and indicators, while encouraging adherence to the spirit of quality that underpins these indicators.
- Involve academic and administrative staff, students, and external stakeholders in internal procedures to raise awareness of the need to cultivate a quality culture among the institution's members.
- Contribute to the Bologna process by increasing the attractiveness of European Higher Education.
